First blog!

I am new to this but numerous people have told me I needed to start one, so I caved in.

Kevin and I found out on October 26, 2008 that I was pregnant. That week we went to the doctor and almost passed out when she did a sonogram and we saw a real live baby in there! I was 13 weeks along and had no earthly idea I was prego. I get asked often how I'm feeling, and back in October and November I had the WORST morning sickness EVER. I would vomit all day long without any warning, which you can imagine made it difficult to go anywhere. And I was SO tired I couldn't believe it. Sometime in December it went away and sometimes I even forget I'm pregnant until I look down and can't see my feet, but I can see what I had for lunch (crumbs, spills, etc). I started to feel her kicking sometime in December but couldn't tell you exactly when because I didn't know if it was her or an 'upset stomach'. Between 22 and 24 weeks my stomach 'popped out' and I went from looking 'kind of pregnant' (more like I had a big lunch) to 'PREGNANT'. Now, when I wake up in the morning I feel like every single muscle in my lower back, lower stomach and legs is cramped and stiff, no matter how many body pillows, foam mattresses, etc. Today I am 26 weeks and I only have 14 to go!

Kevin and I decided on lavender and white for the nursery, with lots of teddy bears and bunnies. We don't really have a 'theme' though. I want a soft and 'elegant' nursery, not one of those obnoxious ones with bright colors and blinky things everywhere (no offense if you have one).

We picked the most beautiful, wonderful name ever, Harlow Madison Hartung.
