I don't know for sure, but I bet by now I've hit the 160-lb mark! I was hoping I wouldn't go above that, but I was 158 on March 2nd. It's hard to control your weight during pregnancy. I try to not weigh myself and just eat what baby needs, but the pounds just pile on! My baby shower is Saturday and I'm excited! I made the cutest little favors yesterday! I'll post pictures of the shower afterwards. My mom has been knitting and crocheting for at least a month now, and has made a few little sets for baby! She was making a coming home outfit but somehow even though it says the size is for 0-3 months, it is huge. So now my mom is going to make another gown, this time much smaller hopefully. She has made the cutest little mary-janes! they even have little working buttons on either sides. The pictures are above. I wove white ribbon through the dress at the chest and hem, and on the jacket at the chest.
I can feel how heavy the baby is getting. Between the leg cramps, lower back pain, inability to use my stomach muscles and weight of baby, it is almost impossible to roll over from one side to the next when I'm sleeping (or trying to). She moves so much now. I'm used to the kicking, but when she squirms or moves her entire body around, well I don't know if I can get used to that!! It's so funny to look down and see your stomach completely lopsided. And you can feel her little body, we just don't know if it's her head or behind. A couple times she's kicked or punched my bladder and has made me run to the bathroom! Also, if I sit for 5 minutes or longer, it is SO hard to walk once I get up! I read that my ligaments in my joints are becoming lax and when I stand up i feel my hip joints and every vertebrae in my lower back seperating...not the most comfortable feeling.
I started taking prenatal vitamins in the morning instead of at night to see if that makes a difference in her activity because for a while she was ONLY active at night. I think it has, or else she's grown big enough that I feel every move.
My stomach is gigantic now, which makes me worried because she is supposed to gain 1/2 a pound every week from now on and I already look like Octo-Mom. Honestly, I knew I was going to get big but I didn't think I would get THIS big!
I've heard that dogs know if you're pregnant, and it's funny to see how Bobo and Coco act. I tried to run to the phone the other day in the office and Bobo did NOT want me to run - he was barking at me and jumping up and down in front of me and only stopped when I stopped. Whenever I go to the bathroom he follows me and watches me for a second and then leaves. I almost think he's making sure I'm not giving birth. If I lay on the bed or on the couch he lays in front of me with his back againt my stomach. When my dad or mom puts their hand on my stomach he runs over and watches them. He's so funny.
Sometime next week or the week after I hope to have the nursery decorated and I will post pictures!
